Gratnells Learning Rooms - What's In My Tray
Dr Katherine Forsey is the Learning Rooms & STEM Consultant at Gratnells. Katherine leads the creation of What’s In My Tray activities for Gratnells, delivers interactive training and workshops at education conferences across the UK and is passionate about developing creative, practical approaches to teaching science. Katherine holds a PhD in Biology, works with both the ASE and the National STEM Learning Centre and provides direct support to schools.

Outdoor Learning
Dr Katherine Forsey is an Outdoor Learning Specialist and Gratnells’ Learning Rooms Outdoor Panel Expert. As Head of Education & Outreach at the Yorkshire Arboretum (2007-2012), she created a new outdoor education programme that welcomed 20,000 pupils on educational visits over five years, firmly establishing the Arboretum as a leading provider of outdoor learning opportunities in Yorkshire. Katherine has worked with The Woodland Trust and Three Hagge Woods Meadow, developing outdoor education provision and training staff and volunteers to lead educational programmes.  Katherine works independently with schools, delivering CPD and INSET for teachers to enable greater use of their grounds for curriculum-based outdoor learning. Katherine also provides CPD via the National STEM Learning Centre and Regional Science Learning Partnerships. She is a member of the Institute for Outdoor Learning.
